Inclusive Summer Kickoff Camp– Week 1 (Ages 7-18+) 2025

Dates: Monday–Friday, June 16th–20th
Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Burrell-MacDonald Park (2516 W Alondra Blvd, Compton, CA 90220)
Ages: 7–18+
Jumpstart summer with five days of movement, creativity, and connection!
Our Summer Kickoff Camp blends inclusive sports, sensory-friendly enrichment, and social-emotional growth into one dynamic, full-day experience—designed specifically for neurodivergent children, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and other developmental differences.
Led by trained instructors and support staff, this week-long camp offers structured, joyful activities in a supportive and welcoming environment. Whether your child thrives in movement, art, or building friendships, this is the place for them to shine!
Daily Schedule
- 9:00–10:00 AM – Basketball Skills & Games
- Fun warm-ups, dribbling, and team games to build confidence, coordination, and connection.
- 10:00–11:00 AM – Fitness or Alternative Activity
- Rotating daily activities like yoga, step aerobics, swimming, or karate to support movement and self-regulation.
- 11:00 AM–12:00 PM – Community-Based or Field Activity
- Campers will participate in either:
- Swimming at Pools of Hope in Compton
- Partnership activities such as gardening, STEM experiments, or environmental projects with local organizations
- Baseball or Kickball will be provided as a default activity when no partnership programming is scheduled.
- Parents will receive a finalized activity schedule prior to camp.
- Campers will participate in either:
- 12:00–1:00 PM – Lunch & Social Time
- Supervised lunch followed by optional structured games and social skill building.
- 1:00–2:00 PM – Social Skills Group or Creative Expression
- Led by an external facilitator, this hour supports emotional growth and communication through activities like storytelling, role play, or visual arts.
- 2:00–3:00 PM – Wind Down & Group Games
- A calming wrap-up with sensory-friendly games or structured free play.

Inclusive Discovery and Imagination Camp Week 2 (Ages 7-18+)

Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Burrell-MacDonald Park
Ages: 7–18+
Field Trip: Friday, July 11 – California Science Center
Spark your child's curiosity in this week of exploration, imagination, and growth!
Our Discovery & Imagination Camp is filled with hands-on activities that encourage children to ask questions, try new things, and build friendships through play. Designed for neurodivergent youth, this full-day experience combines movement, creativity, and community connections.
Daily Schedule
- 9:00–10:00 AM – Basketball Skills & Games
- Team-based movement builds confidence, coordination, and engagement.
- 10:00–11:00 AM – Fitness or Alternative Activity
- Daily rotations may include yoga, swimming, step aerobics, or karate.
- 11:00 AM–12:00 PM – Community-Based or Field Activity
- Options include:
- Swimming at Pools of Hope in Compton
- STEM-based partnerships such as robotics, building challenges, or nature exploration
- Baseball or Kickball will be the backup activity when no external activity is planned.
- Options include:
- 12:00–1:00 PM – Lunch & Social Time
- 1:00–2:00 PM – Social Skills Group or Creative Expression
- This week may feature imaginative storytelling, role play, and collaborative group art.
- 2:00–3:00 PM – Group Games & Wind Down

Field Trip: Friday, August 8 – Aquarium of the Pacific
Wrap up summer with a week devoted to creativity, self-expression, and celebration!
The Expression & Celebration Camp is designed to let each camper shine through music, dance, visual arts, and storytelling—while building connections in a joyful, inclusive space.
