Our Adaptive Basketball League – Juniors is designed for athletes ages 8–12 who are newer to basketball or benefit from additional coaching and individualized instruction. This developmental league blends skill-building with real game experience, creating a fun and encouraging environment where every athlete can grow at their own pace.

Our goal is to build confidence while helping participants develop basketball fundamentals through consistent practice, repetition, and positive coaching.

What to Expect:

Throughout the season, athletes will focus on:

  •  Dribbling, passing, and shooting fundamentals

  • Footwork, coordination, and motor planning

  • Understanding the rules and flow of basketball

  • Teamwork and communication

  • Confidence building through game play

  • Developing skills in a supportive environment

Multiple coaches will be actively involved throughout practices and games, providing individualized instruction, encouragement, and guidance. While coaches will offer more hands-on support than in our older competitive divisions, athletes will still participate in weekly games and experience the excitement of league play.

Season Format:

September – League Preparation

The first month of the season is dedicated to developing basketball fundamentals, building confidence, and preparing athletes for league play through fun, structured practices.

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

  • League Practices

Beginning in October

Each Saturday will include both practice and league play.
Schedule will be release prior to season play.

Teams will compete against different opponents within the Juniors Division throughout the season, creating a positive and engaging league experience while continuing to build basketball skills, teamwork, and confidence.

League Jersey

Every registered athlete will receive an official 5-Eleven Hoops Adaptive Basketball League jersey to wear throughout the season.

Following registration, our team will contact you to collect your participant's jersey size so it can be ordered before the first league games.

Your athlete's jersey is included with registration and helps create an exciting game-day experience while fostering team pride and a sense of belonging throughout the season.

Championship Saturday & Awards Celebration

The season will conclude with a special Championship Saturday & Awards Celebration on December 19th.

To allow extra time for the games and festivities, there will be no team practices on the final day. Instead, athletes will compete in their final league game before joining the other league divisions and their families for a league-wide celebration.

Following the games, all participants are invited to enjoy:

  • Championship games
  • End-of-season awards recognizing every athlete's growth, effort, sportsmanship, and dedication
  • Donuts and refreshments
  • Team photos with coaches and teammates

At 5-Eleven Hoops, we believe every athlete deserves to be celebrated. Championship Saturday is an opportunity to recognize each player's accomplishments while bringing together our entire basketball community to celebrate an incredible season.
