Dates: June 29–July 3, 2026

Time: 9:00 AM- 2:30 PM 

Location: Burrell-MacDonald Park (2516 W Alondra Blvd. Compton, CA, 90220)

Theme: Inventors and Creators Week

Get ready for a week full of creativity, imagination, and hands-on exploration! This inclusive summer camp week is specifically designed for children, teens, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and different abilities. Campers will engage in adaptive sports, STEM-inspired enrichment activities, collaborative building projects, and sensory-friendly recreation that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

This week inspires campers to think outside the box while building confidence and social connection in a supportive environment.

Weekly Highlights:

  • STEM and engineering challenges
  • Creative building projects
  • Adaptive basketball and movement activities
  • Yoga and mindfulness
  • Team problem-solving games
  • Swim lessons at Gonzalez Park (Tuesday & Thursday)
  • Friday field trip to Maker’s Hub

9:30-9:45- Commute to Gonzalez park for swim lesson

10:00-11:00- Swim lesson

11:15-11:30- Commute back to Burrell- MacDonald Park

11:30-12:30- Lunch

12:30-1:30- Basketball Practice (outdoors)

1:30- 1:45- Break/ Freetime

1:45-2:30- Yoga

2:30-3:00- Parent Pick up

Wednesday

9:00-9:30- Warm-up & Ice breaker

9:30-10:30- Basketball Drills 

10:30-10:45- Snack & Break

10:45-11:30- Fitness Stations

11:30-12:30- Lunch

12:30-1:30- Straw Car Racing 

1:30- 1:45- Break/ Freetime

1:45-2:30- Create your own outdoor game 

2:30- Parent Pick up

Thursday

9:00-9:30- Warm-up & Ice breaker

9:30-9:45- Commute to Gonzalez park for swim lesson

10:00-11:00- Swim lesson

11:15-11:30- Commute back to Burrell- MacDonald Park

11:30-12:30- Lunch

11:00- 1:30- Maker’s Hub

1:30-2:00- Commute back to Burrell-MacDonald Park

2:00-2:30- Break/  Hang out 

Who Can Participate:

This camp is designed for children, teens, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and different abilities who benefit from structured recreation, adaptive programming, movement-based activities, social opportunities, and sensory-friendly support.

Addtional Support Information:

To help create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all participants, camp will maintain approximately a 4:1 camper-to-staff ratio throughout programming and community outings.

Please note that campers who require dedicated 1:1 behavioral, medical, personal care, or safety support must attend camp with their own assigned aide, respite worker, or support person as needed.

Our team is committed to providing adaptive recreation, structured support, and inclusive programming for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and different abilities while ensuring each camper receives the level of support necessary for a successful camp experience.

Regional Center social recreation funding may be used for eligible participants.
