Thanksgiving Camp

Dates: Monday–Tuesday, November 24th–25th, 2025

Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (early pickup at 12:00 PM for field trips)

Location: Salvation Army – 3000 Long Beach Blvd, Long Beach, CA

Ages: 7-18+

Field Trips:

• Monday, Nov. 24 – Cooking Class at Chef Tech Cooking School or PREP
• Tuesday, Nov. 25 – Volunteer Service Project at a Local Food Bank or Long Beach Community Table

Celebrate the season of gratitude with two days of basketball, teamwork, and community connection! Our Thanksgiving Camp blends fun sports activities with hands-on holiday projects and meaningful field trips, giving campers a chance to learn, give back, and grow in a supportive environment.

Schedule:

Day 1 – Monday, Nov. 24

9:00–9:30 AM – Parent Drop-Off & Welcome Circle

9:30–10:30 AM – Basketball Skills, Drills, and Games 

10:30–10:45 AM – Snack & Break

10:45–11:30 AM – Gratitude Turkey Painting 

11:30–12:00 PM – Transition & Prep for Field Trip

12:00–2:30 PM – Field Trip: Cooking Class 

2:30–3:00 PM – Parent Pick-Up

Day 2 – Tuesday, Nov. 25

9:00–9:30 AM – Parent Drop-Off & Welcome Circle

9:30–10:30 AM – Holiday Basketball Scrimmages & Team Challenges 

10:30–10:45 AM – Snack & Break

10:45–11:30 AM – Thanksgiving Relay Games – Gratitude Challenge Edition 

11:30–12:00 PM – Transition & Prep for Field Trip

12:00–2:30 PM – Field Trip: Community Volunteer Project 

2:30–3:00 PM – Parent Pick-Up

• Campers may attend one or both days
• Aides are welcome 
• This camp is inclusive and adaptable for neurodivergent youth
