Autism Awareness Month One-Day Basketball Clinic

Date: Saturday, April 4th, 2026

Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Location: Compton College (1111 E Artesia Blvd, Compton, CA)

Join us for a special Autism Awareness Month event in partnership with the Lakers Youth Foundation, celebrating inclusion, movement, and community through sport. This one-day basketball clinic is designed to provide a fun, structured, and supportive environment where youth of all abilities can build skills, confidence, and meaningful connections.

Participants will engage in guided basketball activities led by experienced coaches, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and positive social interaction. In addition to on-court training, this event will include games, prizes, merchandise, and opportunities to socialize, creating an exciting and memorable experience for all participants.

Schedule:

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Basketball Clinic & Activities

Participants will take part in a dynamic and engaging session that includes:

• Warm-ups and movement-based activities

• Fundamental skill-building (dribbling, passing, shooting)

• Small group drills and skill stations

• Team-based games and gameplay

• Interactive activities, prizes, and giveaways

• Opportunities to build friendships and socialize in a supportive environment

Additional Program Information:

All activities are adapted to support a variety of skill levels, learning styles, and sensory needs.

• Open to ages 5 and up

• Designed for neurodivergent youth, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental differences

• Participants who require one-on-one support are asked to attend with their own aide 

• Online registration required — no same-day registration or walk-ups will be accepted 

• Space is limited and expected to fill quickl
