Join us for a free Art Exploration Event hosted in partnership with Compton Parks and Recreation! This event invites youth ages 6–15 to discover the power of creativity through a full day of engaging workshops in photography, theater, dance, and music.

What is Art Exploration?

Art Exploration is designed to provide a safe and welcoming space where youth can express themselves freely—without fear of judgment. Through creative expression, participants will explore emotions, build confidence, and develop important social and problem-solving skills.

What to Expect:

Youth will rotate through four interactive art-based workshops led by supportive and creative facilitators:

Photography – Explore storytelling through images, learn basic photo techniques, and discover how photography captures emotions and history.

Theater – Build confidence and empathy through acting exercises, character building, and storytelling.

Dance – Promote movement, self-expression, and confidence through fun, physical activity.

Music – Learn about different instruments, rhythm, and how music connects people and cultures.

A light breakfast and lunch will be provided, and all activities are free to the community.

Participants are welcome to attend any or all parts of the day—staying for the entire event is not required.

10:45 – 11:45 AM: Workshop 2 – Theater

11:45 AM – 12:45 PM: Lunch

12:45 – 1:45 PM: Workshop 3 – Dance

1:45 – 2:00 PM: Break

2:00 – 3:00 PM: Workshop 4 – Music

4:00 – 4:30 PM: Youth Pick-Up

Snacks and light refreshments (granola bars, cereal, pastries, milk, juice, water) will be available throughout the day.
